The commemoration of World War One in 2014 and of the Great Union Of Romania in 2018 in diferent cultural practices at an international level were events that triggered war-time stories that one hears from grandparents and great-grandparents. The ritualic experience of the repetitive listening of these stories resulted in a subjectively altered perspective of feeling like you are going through the events youreself. With this emotional context as a starting point, the body of work is centered around the conflictual state of war`s realities and one`s own set of values. The collective memory is cleansed by onoring and reconciling the lacks in the individual`s life, such as respecting one own`s sense of self and respecting religious customs regarding death.By reconstucting one`s religious sense of self and making it a main point in the visual experience , I am initiating a process of restauration of a sense of identity, one that has been denied, minimalized and denigrated in the military sistem.
